Join Women's Ordination Worldwide (WOW)
WOW is an umbrella network of international member groups working for the equality and ordination of women in the Catholic Church.
The benefits of WOW membership include:
Sharing projects, campaigns, and resources;
Supporting each other with a global voice;
Issuing timely press releases;
Coordinating global actions and public witnessing;
Hosting liturgies and eucharists with women presiders;
Highlighting the far-reaching impacts of the Vatican’s exclusionary policies and its impact on women globally;
Participating in an annual Steering Committee meeting, usually in Europe or North America or by Zoom;
Organising international conferences on gender justice in the church.
Membership
Group Membership is open to any national or international group who is in agreement with the mission, vision, values and Operating Guidelines of WOW. Annual membership fee for a group is £75 with a sliding scale down to a minimum of £10 at the discretion of the Leadership Circle.
Individual membership applications are permitted on a case-by-case bases in countries where there is no active group. Annual membership fee for individuals is £25 with a sliding scale down to a minimum of £10 at the discretion of the Leadership Circle.
WOW policy and general management are the responsibility of a Steering Committee made up of Delegates from all member groups, and overseen by an elected Leadership Circle. Each member group may invite two delegates to join the Steering Committee.
